Vinificazione

Dopo un’estate fresca caratterizzata anche da qualche pioggia, abbiamo raccolto le uve destinate al Sabazio 2014 intorno alla metà di settembre. Le caratteristiche dell’annata hanno privilegiato gli aromi fruttati e la fragranza del vino rispetto al corpo, per cui la vinificazione è stata volta ad privilegiare i primi senza forzare le estrazioni. Dopo una macerazione di circa 7 giorni in tini di acciaio, il vino così ottenuto è stato travasato in botti grandi, dove ha svolto la fermentazione malolattica ed iniziato un periodo di affinamento della durata di circa 4 mesi. Il vino così ottenuto è stato quindi preparato per l’imbottigliamento.

Dati storici

La Braccesca complessivamente si estende su una superficie totale di 508 ettari, è composta da due corpi separati: il nucleo storico dell'azienda si trova nella zona di  Montepulciano, con 103 ha piantati a vigneto nelle migliori sottozone per la produzione di Nobile di Montepulciano; l'altro, con 233 ha di vigneto, si trova ai piedi delle colline circostanti Cortona. La prima annata di Vino Rosso di Montepulciano La Braccesca è stata il 1992. Il vino prende nome da Sabatino Lulli, detto "Sabazio", monaco dell'abbazia di Montepulciano che per primo nel periodo medievale ha fornito le indicazioni per vinificare il vino prodotto nella zona.

Note degustative

Il Sabazio 2014 racchiude tutte le caratteristiche di un’annata fresca. Al naso presenta aromi di frutta fresca e note floreali, che continuano in bocca sostenuti da una buona acidità e mineralità. Il finale è morbido e sapido.
