Terreno: galestro composto da scisti argillo-calcaree su roccia madre di pietraforte

Vinificazione: Petresco nasce nella vigna e da oltre vent’anni è frutto di un'accurata selezione delle uve Sangiovese provenienti da un singolo vigneto posto in posizione apicale rispetto agli altri, tra i 470 e i 480 m. Vinificato in modo naturale mediante fermentazione spontanea in tini di cemento
Affinamento: dopo la svinatura prosegue l’elevazione in piccoli fusti di rovere francese dove effettua la fermentazione malolattica proseguendo poi l’affinamento per circa 24 mesi. Sosta ancora in tini di cemento prima di essere imbottigliato e poi lungamente affinato in bottiglia
Colore: rosso granato
Profumo: i profumi al naso si aprono con note di erbe del sottobosco e frutta matura, per poi indirizzarsi verso aromi speziati e balsamici
Sapore: al palato è di ottima struttura, con un sorso vivace e un tannino ottimamente lavorato. Chiude con un finale persistente, caratterizzato da un retrogusto olfattivo amarognolo
