Massima espressione dei vini di Rocca delle Macìe, la Gran Selezione Sergio Zingarelli ha una storia che parte da lontano: è infatti il risultato di anni di lavoro nei vigneti della tenuta Le Macìe a Castellina in Chianti, dove il Sangiovese si esprime in modo unico ed irripetibile. Questo vino racchiude il meglio del territorio, dei suoi vitigni e del lavoro dell'uomo.

La Gran Selezione di Rocca delle Macìe si inserisce all’interno di un più ampio progetto vitivinicolo che l’azienda ha iniziato oltre 16 anni fa con il reimpianto di quasi tutti i vigneti di Sangiovese della Tenuta Le Macìe a Castellina in Chianti, con l’obbiettivo di produrre nel tempo un vino che fosse la massima espressione del territorio e si posizionasse al vertice della piramide qualitativa aziendale. Con la “Chianti Classico Revolution” promossa dal Consorzio, il frutto di questo lavoro ha trovato la sua naturale posizione all’interno della nuova categoria.

Varietà delle Uve Sangiovese 90%, Colorino 10% La scelta di utilizzare esclusivamente vitigni autoctoni nasce dalla volontà di valorizzare la tipicità ed il grande potenziale del territorio del Chianti Classico.

Tecnica di produzione Le uve sono selezionate all’interno della tenuta Le Macìe a Castellina in Chianti.

Dopo 10 giorni di fermentazione alcolica e 15 di macerazione sulle bucce , il vino svolge la fermentazione malolattica in legno. Affinamento: barriques di rovere francese Troncais per 18 mesi.

Affinamento in bottiglia per un anno.

Caratteristiche organolettiche

Colore: rosso rubino intenso Profumo: fruttato, intenso e persistente con leggere note speziate Sapore: caldo e avvolgente con buon equilibrio gustativo.
